Armstrong International CD33S Disc Steam Trap

The Armstrong CD-33S is a stainless-steel controlled-disc steam trap with three discharge ports, engineered to regulate cycling and extend service life in high‑pressure steam systems. It handles up to 2,500 lb/hr (1,134 kg/hr) and is rated for a maximum allowable pressure of 915 psig at 752°F (63 barg at 400°C), with a maximum operating pressure of 600 psig (41 barg) and a maximum temperature of 752°F (400°C). The body is constructed from ASTM A743 Grade CA40 stainless steel, with a hardened disc and seating surfaces finished by electroless nickel plating. Connection sizes offered include screwed NPT 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", and 1" (12 mm–25 mm). Optional configurations include an integral strainer, an integral blowdown valve, or a rain guard insulating cap. The three-discharge-port design delivers stable disc operation. This model is designed for applications such as large steam main drips, process equipment, and HVAC heating equipment on constant pressure, providing reliable condensate drainage while preventing live steam loss.
