Armstrong International GP-2000M-2 Globe Valve
Armstrong International GP-2000M-2 Globe Valve
Description:
Armstrong GP-2000M-2 is an externally piloted, diaphragm-operated pressure-reducing valve designed for dead-end service in steam and hot-fluid systems. The GP-2000 family provides a single-seat, reliable downstream control arrangement and is available with NPT connections from 1/2" to 2" and flanged connections from 2" to 6" (15–50 mm and 50–150 mm respectively). The GP-2000 line includes carbon steel variants such as GP-2000CS for steel piping, expanding application compatibility. In service, it reduces upstream boiler or plant pressure to a stable downstream setpoint, with typical accuracy around ±1% of the set pressure, controlled via an external pilot that adjusts the downstream pressure in response to load changes. The GP-2000 family also offers pilot configurations in the K-series (K1, K3, K6) to suit different control schemes and setpoint ranges. Common applications include industrial HVAC, process piping, steam distribution, and thermal utility systems where dead-end service and dependable pressure control are essential. The combination of robust construction, silent operation, and straightforward installation makes the GP-2000M-2 a compatible choice for facilities upgrading or standardizing pressure-reducing capabilities across boilers, heat exchangers, and downstream equipment.
