Armstrong International, LLC CD-33 Steam Trap

The Armstrong CD-33 series Controlled Disc Steam Trap is a three-discharge-port, disc-style trap engineered to minimize wear by controlling cycling and extend service life in saturated steam service. It suits large steam main drips, process equipment, and HVAC heating equipment on constant pressure, delivering reliable condensate drainage with reduced maintenance. Capacities reach up to 2,500 lb/hr (1,134 kg/hr) and the trap is rated for steam service up to 600 psig (41 bar), with a maximum allowable pressure of 915 psig at 752°F (63 bar @ 400°C) and a maximum allowable temperature of 752°F (400°C). The body is manufactured from ASTM A743 Grade CA40 stainless steel, and standard screwed connections are offered in 3/8" (12 mm), 1/2" (15 mm), 3/4" (20 mm), and 1" (25 mm) sizes. Notable features include a hardened seat and disc for longer life, freeze-resistant construction, and the three-discharge-port design that stabilizes operation. The CD-33 family also includes the CD-33L low-capacity variant forsteam main drips and tracing lines, and the CD-33S/CD-33SL variants that can be equipped with an integral strainer for debris protection where required.
