Armstrong International TTF-1R Thermostatic Steam Trap
Armstrong International TTF-1R Thermostatic Steam Trap
Description:
Armstrong TTF-1R thermostatic air vent automatically vents air and other non-condensables from steam-chamber equipment, preserving heat-transfer efficiency by preventing air pockets in remote sections of the steam system. Built with a 304L stainless steel body, it is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 300 psig (20 barg) and a maximum allowable pressure of 300 psig at 450°F (232°C), and it is offered with 1/2" or 3/4" connections to suit common steam-line configurations. The vent uses a balanced-pressure thermostatic element to respond to the steam’s pressure–temperature curve, releasing air slightly below the steam temperature across the operating range. Typical applications include jacketed kettles, retorts, vulcanizers, jacketed sterilizers, and other contained equipment where trapped air or non-condensables can impair heat transfer. As a thermostatic air vent, it provides reliable, compact service in steam environments and is PED-certified where applicable, reflecting compliance with essential safety standards.
