Asahi AV PTFE-bonded flange gasket for ANSI flanges, 20 mm (3/4 in) nominal size, delivers a reliable seal with markedly reduced bolt torque thanks to its double-convex sealing surface. Part of ASAHI YUKIZAI’s AV Gasket line, this PTFE-bonded gasket bonds PTFE to EPDM to resist a wide range of corrosive fluids and maintain flexibility across temperature variations. The gasket is a true full-face design in ANSI B16.5 dimensions, featuring two raised convex rings centered on the bore for consistent compression and sealing. AV gaskets are specified in ANSI 150 lb class systems and are offered in nominal sizes from 1/2 in to 12 in, making them suitable for common piping connections. For the most corrosive applications, PTFE-bonded AV gaskets are commonly chosen, providing chemical resistance while needing only a fraction of the torque compared with traditional flat gaskets. Typical applications include chemical processing, water and wastewater systems, and other piping networks where reliable flange sealing and reduced torque are valuable.
