AP79M2PSNST is a plastic, single-acting (spring-return) pneumatic actuator in Asahi/America’s Series 79P lineup, engineered to provide reliable quarter-turn actuation for ball and butterfly valves in corrosive or demanding environments. The actuator features a glass-filled polyamide body with cataphoresis-coated aluminum end caps and a steel output shaft, and it is rated for up to 120 psi (8.3 bar) supply pressure, delivering a 90° rotation between end positions when paired with a compatible valve system. Sold as a Duo-Bloc package option, this model integrates actuation with a Duo-Bloc valve assembly for compact installation and synchronized operation in process lines. The Series 79P family supports ISO mounting and NAMUR mounting provisions for accessories, enabling easy attachment of limit switches, position indicators, or other actuating accessories. Typical applications include chemical processing, water and wastewater treatment, and general industrial valve control where a corrosion-resistant, low-maintenance actuator is required to reliably shift quarter-turn valves with spring-return action.
