ASCO RedHat 8221G11 is a 1-1/2 in NPT, two-way (2-position), normally closed slow-closing solenoid valve designed for water service, featuring a brass body and a 120 V AC coil rated for 60 Hz with about 11.6 W of power. It is pilot-operated to minimize water hammer, making it suitable for hydronic heating, cooling, and general water-distribution applications where clean, controlled shutoff is required. The valve handles a differential pressure range from 5 to 150 psi and is rated for fluids up to 180°F (82°C); it is specified for water service only, not for steam. Wetted parts include a brass body with PTFE and NBR seals, a PTFE/NBR core tube, a 302 stainless steel piston, 430F stainless steel springs, and a shading coil made of stainless steel or brass.
