ATC Diversified Electronics UPA-130-GOV Power Alert
ATC Diversified Electronics UPA-130-GOV Power Alert
Description:
The UPA-130-GOV Universal Power Alert is a 30 mm, panel‑mount voltage indicator that pre‑verifies electrical isolation inside a control panel to reduce arc‑flash risk. This GOV variant uses amber LEDs for clear, at‑a‑glance voltage indication and fits a 30 mm knockout, wiring into four monitored lines—L1, L2, L3, and GND—with eight detectors in total. Each input line has a pair of LEDs labeled + and −; when AC voltage is present, both LEDs on that line illuminate, and for DC or stored‑energy conditions the + LED lights on the positive line. It supports a wide detection range: 40–750 VAC and 30–1000 VDC, allowing use across common industrial power systems. The unit is powered by the same voltage it indicates and employs redundant circuitry to enhance reliability and safety. In practice, it visually signals voltage presence to help workers confirm energy is cleared before panel access, making it suitable for motor control centers and electrical panels where stored energy checks are essential. The UPA‑130 is part of ATC Diversified Electronics’ Universal Power Alert family (a Marsh Bellofram brand), and several distributors list the UPA‑130 series as obsolete, which may affect current availability.
