ATI Technologies 9121-SA14-M Master Control Module

The ATI Industrial Automation 9121-SA14-M Master Control Module is the central control unit in ATI’s robotic tool-changer ecosystem, coordinating master-to-tool signaling and sensor interfacing for ATI tool changers. It uses Amphenol 19-pin connectors on both the Master and Tool sides and is powered by 24 VDC, with pin A described as the first-to-make, last-to-break in the tool-changer interface and recommended for use as ground; the documented wiring shows two RTL sensors wired in series, and the SA14 Master module is designed to operate with NPN sensors in ATI tool-changer configurations. As part of ATI’s 9121 Master Module family, the 9121-SA14-M is referenced in ATI’s tool changer manuals as the master control component for that system, enabling reliable coordination between sensors and control signals during a tool change in ATI robots. The 9121-SA14-M has been discontinued by the manufacturer. As an older generation master module, the 9121-SA14-M is primarily encountered in legacy ATI tool changer installations.
