Automation Direct D2-04TD1 Discrete Output Module

The Automation Direct D2-04TD1 is a four-point, sinking DC output module designed for DirectLOGIC DL205 PLCs, providing four 12–24 VDC open-drain outputs that share a single common terminal for compact I/O expansion in control panels. Each output supports up to 4 A of resistive load (8 A total per module), uses an NMOS FET open-drain configuration with a typical ON voltage drop under 0.72 V, a peak voltage rating of 40 VDC, and a maximum leakage of 0.1 mA at 40 V, with ON/OFF response times of 1 ms. The module includes four 6.3 A slow-blow fuses (non-replaceable)—one per point—and requires an external 24 VDC supply at up to 20 mA for the outputs, while the DL205 base power draws 5 VDC at 60 mA. Operating voltage range is 10.2–26.4 VDC, the unit weighs about 2.8 oz (80 g) and ships with a removable terminal block, enabling straightforward wiring of the four discrete outputs.
