Automation Direct D2-04TRS Relay Output Module

Automation Direct D2-04TRS Relay Output Module is a four-point isolated relay output expansion card for the DirectLogic DL205 family. It provides four Form A (SPST) relays with four isolated commons, enabling independent wiring for each output. Each output can switch up to 4 A (resistive), with a total module capability of 8 A, making it suitable for driving solenoids, relays, indicators, and similar loads. The coil drive supports a wide range of control voltages—from 5 to 30 V DC or 5 to 240 V AC—allowing compatibility with common PLC I/O signaling. A 5 V DC, 250 mA base power is required to operate the module, and a removable terminal block (D2-8IOCON) is included to simplify field wiring. Response times are around 10 ms for OFF-to-ON and ON-to-OFF transitions, and a logic-side status indicator helps verify active outputs. For protection and maintenance, a fuse option is available (D2-FUSE-3), rated at 4 A per point or 8 A per module. The D2-04TRS is designed for easy DL205 backplane mounting in compact control panels where four discrete relay outputs are needed, providing reliable isolation between the PLC and controlled devices.
