Automation Direct D3-08TD2 8-Channel PLC Output Module

The Automation Direct D3-08TD2 is an 8-channel, 5–24 VDC current-sourcing discrete output module for the DL305 DirectLogic PLC family. Each of the eight outputs is an NPN transistor (emitter follower) with an ON voltage drop of about 1 V at 0.5 A, a peak output voltage rating of 40 VDC, and a maximum of 0.5 A per channel, with two internally connected commons that can deliver up to 1.8 A per common. The module operates from 5–24 VDC and features a non-removable terminal block and two non-replaceable fuses. Weighing roughly 4.2 oz (120 g), the D3-08TD2 supports a minimum load of 1 mA, making it suitable for driving 24 V loads such as solenoids, small relays, or indicator circuits in automation projects that use DL305-based control. This eight-output module provides a compact means to expand a PLC’s control capabilities while maintaining the DL305’s rugged, DIN-rail friendly form factor.
