Automation Direct H0-CTRIO High-Speed Counter Module

Automation Direct's H0-CTRIO High-Speed Counter Module is a DirectLogic DL05/DL06 I/O module that accepts four DC input signals (9–30 VDC) and provides two isolated DC outputs (5–36 VDC, 1 A per point) to enable fast, pulse-based counting and control. It features two independently configurable timer/counter channels capable of counting up to approximately 100 kHz and includes a pulse output generator up to about 25 kHz, supporting precise encoder counting, motion control, and timing tasks. The module supports quadrature encoder input, making it suitable for high-speed counting, length measurement, speed sensing, and positioning applications. Typical uses include high-speed cut-to-length operations, pick-and-place or indexing for belt or roll-fed systems, dynamic registration for web material, and driving servo/stepper interfaces, with rapid event detection via sub-10 microsecond pulse-catch capability.
