Automation Direct PY3-AN-1A Inductive Proximity Sensor

The PY3-AN-1A is a compact tubular inductive proximity sensor from AutomationDirect in the PY3 family. Measuring Ø3 mm by 22 mm, it has a stainless steel housing with flush-mount capability and a 2 m PVC cable, delivering a 3-wire NPN normally-open (NO) output for easy integration into industrial controls. It senses metal targets at a nominal distance of 0.6 mm and switches at up to 5 kHz, operating on 10-30 VDC with a maximum load current of 100 mA and a voltage drop of up to 2.0 V. The unit is IP67-rated, operates from -25 C to +70 C, and features a polyester sensing face with a yellow LED indicator that shows when the output is energized; it also includes reverse polarity protection and short-circuit protection with auto-reset.
