AutomationDirect AC1-AP-1A Inductive Proximity Switch

AC1-AP-1A is a tubular 4 mm diameter inductive proximity sensor from AutomationDirect’s Micro Detectors line, with a 30.2 mm stainless steel housing and a flush-mount design. It provides a PNP normally open (NO) output and a nominal sensing distance of 0.8 mm, making it suitable for detecting small metal targets in tight spaces. The sensor operates from 10 to 30 V DC and uses a 3-wire connection with a 2 m (6.5 ft) PUR cable (26 AWG), enabling direct integration into standard control circuits. It switches at up to 7 kHz, carries an IP67 protection rating for rugged environments, and is designed for standard-duty, small-space applications, including conveyors and machine frames. The sensing face is made of PBT, the body is stainless steel, and the unit is flush-mounted for compact installations; CE declarations are available for this model (AC1-AP-1A).
