AutomationDirect AE1-AP-2H Inductive Proximity Switch

The AE1-AP-2H is an 8 mm diameter tubular inductive proximity sensor from AutomationDirect's AE1 family, designed for non-contact metal detection in compact spaces. It operates on 10–30 VDC and provides a PNP normally open (NO) switching output via a 4-pin M12 quick-disconnect connector. The sensor features a 2.5 mm sensing distance, a nickel-plated brass housing, and a 60 mm long body suitable for tight mounting. It carries an IP67 enclosure rating and withstands temperatures from -25 to 70 °C, with a switching frequency of 2.5 kHz. As a 3-wire device, it is intended for standard DC control circuits and can drive PLC inputs, relays, or other logic loads. The AE1-AP-2H is non-flush mounted, making it a practical choice for installations where a protruding tubular sensor is acceptable.
