AutomationDirect AE6-AP-4F Inductive Proximity Sensor

The AutomationDirect AE6-AP-4F Inductive Proximity Sensor is an 8 mm diameter tubular detector, 40 mm long, with a 4 mm nominal sensing distance designed to detect metal targets without contact. It operates on a 10–30 VDC supply and provides a three-wire PNP normally open output with an M8 quick-disconnect connector, allowing straightforward integration with most PLCs and control circuits. The sensor is unshielded and specified for up to a 3 kHz switching frequency, supporting fast-moving parts on compact automation lines. Its compact profile is well suited for inline sensing on tight spaces such as conveyors and small automated assemblies, including end-of-travel sensing.
