Description:

The BX-16ND3 is a 16‑point BRX discrete input module for AutomationDirect’s BRX/Do-more family, designed to accept 9–30 VDC inputs with a 12–24 VDC nominal range. It supports both sinking and sourcing inputs and provides four isolated input commons with four inputs per common, totaling 16 individual channels. This module requires a BX-RTB10, BX-RTB10-1, or BX-RTB10-2 terminal block kit (or ZIPLink pre‑wired cables) for wiring. Input specifications include a nominal voltage range of 12–24 VDC and an overall input voltage range of 9–30 VDC, with a maximum input voltage of 30 VDC and an input impedance of 3 kΩ at 24 VDC. Typical input current is 8 mA at 24 VDC, with a maximum of 12 mA at 30 VDC. ON voltage level is greater than 9.0 VDC and OFF level is less than 2.0 VDC, with fast 2 ms response for ON‑OFF and OFF‑ON transitions. Status indicators are provided on the logic side to reflect input activity. The BX-16ND3 is RoHS compliant and is documented for Do-more BRX configuration with Do-more Designer software version 2.0 or later. In terms of approvals, the cut sheet notes agency listings (including CE), consistent with AutomationDirect’s compliance disclosures. Typical applications include expanding digital input capacity for BRX/Do-more PLC installations, enabling monitoring of sensors, pushbuttons, limit switches, and other 9–30 VDC signal sources across automation projects. By design, the module integrates with the BRX ecosystem and relies on the referenced terminal blocks or ZIPLink cabling for reliable field wiring, making it a straightforward upgrade when scaling discrete input counts in compact control panels.
