AutomationDirect CT1-AP-1A Capacitive Proximity Sensor

AutomationDirect CT1-AP-1A Capacitive Proximity Sensor is a tubular, 30 mm-diameter device with a 71 mm-long body designed for flush mounting. It features a nickel-plated brass housing and a polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) sensing face, with a nominal sensing distance of 15 mm. This 3‑wire DC sensor provides a PNP, normally open (NO) output and ships with a 2 m axial cable (6.56 ft). The unit operates from 10 to 30 V DC, with a no-load current around 8 mA and a switching frequency of 100 Hz. It is shielded and rated IP65 (DIN 40050), and it carries CE approvals. The CT1-AP-1A includes indicators: a green LED for power and a red LED when the NO output is energized. It tolerates a temperature range from -25°C to +70°C and weighs about 280 g. As part of AutomationDirect’s CT Series, it maintains compatibility with standard CT Series mounting and accessories.
