AutomationDirect D0-06AR Programmable Logic Controller

The AutomationDirect D0-06AR DirectLOGIC DL06 PLC is a 20-input, 16-output programmable logic controller designed for 100–240 VAC operation. It provides twenty AC discrete inputs and sixteen relay-contact outputs (Form A) rated 2 A per point and 6 A per common, with a 40 VA maximum power draw and support for up to four expansion modules. Wiring uses removable terminals and accepts 16 AWG conductors or two 18 AWG (24 AWG minimum). The unit includes two serial communication ports: Port 1 is fixed at 9600 baud RS-232 (RJ12), and Port 2 is a 9600 baud RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 (DB15HD) port capable of K-Sequence (Slave), DirectNET Modbus RTU/ASCII, and DirectNET Master/Slave modes. Programming is via DirectSOFT software (v4.0 or later) using the D2-DSCBL programming cable. The D0-06AR features battery-backed memory and five isolated input commons (four points per common) as well as four isolated output commons (four points per common), enabling reliable operation in electrically noisy environments. It is rated for 32 to 131°F (0 to 55°C) ambient temperatures and 5–95% non-condensing humidity, with vibration resistance per MIL STD 810C 514.2, shock resistance per MIL STD 810C 516.2, and noise immunity per NEMA ICS3–304. Typical applications include machine-level control for conveyors, pumps, and simple automation loops where AC-powered inputs and relay outputs are required, with standard fieldbus options like Modbus RTU/ASCII and K-Sequence integration to interface with other DL06 or DirectNET devices.
