AutomationDirect D2-260 DirectLOGIC CPU Module
AutomationDirect D2-260 DirectLOGIC CPU Module
Description:
AutomationDirect's D2-260 DirectLOGIC CPU Module is a DirectLogic 205 (DL205) CPU for industrial automation applications. It provides 15.8k words of ladder logic memory for program storage. The module offers two serial communication ports: a top port with a 15-pin D-sub female connector and a bottom port that uses an RJ12 interface. The two ports support DirectNET and Modbus RTU master/slave communication using the DirectLOGIC protocol family. A battery-backed memory feature is included to retain critical data during power loss. AutomationDirect markets a 15-pin D-sub to RJ12 cable (15-pin male D-sub to 6-pin RJ12) designed for DL205 bottom-port use. This CPU is part of the DL205 DirectLogic line, first introduced in 2002 as the D2-260 CPU. Note that the D2-260 is listed among AutomationDirect's retired DirectLogic 205 CPUs, reflecting its status in the product line.
