AutomationDirect D2-CM Expansion Controller Module

The AutomationDirect D2-CM Expansion Controller Module is the local expansion I/O controller for DirectLOGIC DL205 PLCs, designed to attach multiple expansion bases to a single CPU (D2-250-1 or D2-260). Installed in the CPU slot of each expansion base, it communicates with the DL205 CPU to manage expanded I/O resources. Each D2-CM includes a rotary switch to assign a unique expansion-base number that the CPU recognizes, enabling up to four expansion bases to be connected to one DL205 system. This module is part of AutomationDirect's Expansion I/O family and is intended specifically for use with DL205 CPUs when additional local I/O capacity is required without replacing the main controller. By distributing I/O across dedicated expansion bases, designers can tailor wiring and topology to fit space and control needs while maintaining centralized program and data access from the main DL205 CPU.
