AutomationDirect D2-DCM Data Communications Module for the DL205 PLC provides a single serial port (RS-232/RS-422) with a 25-pin D-shell connector, enabling DirectNET network communication and Modbus RTU slave operations. In DirectNET mode, it can function as a master or slave or peer; for Modbus RTU networks, it operates as a Modbus slave. Baud rate is selectable from 300 to 38,400 baud with parity options including odd or none, and it supports DirectNET HEX or ASCII mode. The DCM is designed to plug into the DL205 expansion architecture and enables integration with DirectNET devices and Modbus RTU peripherals for remote I/O and data exchange.
