AutomationDirect D3-08B-1 Programmable Logic Controller Module

DirectLOGIC D3-08B-1 is an 8-slot DirectLOGIC I/O base for the DL305 PLC family, designed for panel mounting in compact control enclosures and serving as the backplane to accept DirectLOGIC I/O modules. It requires external power from 110–220 VAC and includes a 24 VDC auxiliary power supply rated at 100 mA to power connected peripherals. The base is specified for an input voltage range of 85–264 VAC at 47–63 Hz and a base power consumption of up to 85 VA, making it compatible with standard classroom and industrial power networks. Programming compatibility is with DirectSOFT software (version 4.0 or later), aligning with AutomationDirect’s DirectLOGIC ecosystem. Safety and compliance markings include UL listing (UL File E157382) and CE/CSA indicators on the module. As a discontinued item (withdrawn in 2021), the D3-08B-1 is no longer sold by AutomationDirect, with the manufacturer indicating replacement options within the DirectLOGIC DL305 lineup or newer PLC series for ongoing or future projects.
