AutomationDirect D4-32ND3-1 Discrete Input Module

The AutomationDirect D4-32ND3-1 is a 32-point DirectLOGIC DL405 discrete input module that accepts 24 VDC signals with both sinking and sourcing configurations across four isolated commons (8 inputs per common). It uses a removable 40-pin terminal connector for a compact backplane interface and is designed for use with AutomationDirect’s DL405 PLCs. The module operates on a 20–28 VDC input range (nominal 24 VDC) with a 30 V peak limit, and an input impedance of 4.8 kΩ. Typical input current is 5 mA at 24 V, with a minimum ON current of 3.5 mA and a maximum OFF current of 1.6 mA; ON voltage level is >19 V and OFF level is <10 V, with OFF-to-ON and ON-to-OFF response times of 2–10 ms. Base power for the module’s 5 V logic rail is up to 150 mA. DirectSOFT programming software compatibility is noted for v4.0 or later, and a ZIPLink prewired cable solution is recommended for wiring.
