AutomationDirect SE-SW8U Industrial Ethernet Switch

AutomationDirect's STRIDE SE-SW8U is an 8-port industrial Ethernet switch that provides straightforward, plug-and-play 10/100BASE-T connectivity on the factory floor. It offers eight RJ-45 copper ports capable of auto-negotiating between 10 and 100 Mbps, enabling simple interconnection of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The unit is built with a plastic housing rated IP40 for basic protection against dust and light impacts and is designed for DIN-rail (35 mm) or panel mounting in compact, space-conscious installations. It operates in a wide industrial temperature range from -10 to +60 C, accommodating common manufacturing temperature swings. The SE-SW8U supports IEEE 802.3 (10BASE-T), IEEE 802.3u (100BASE-TX/FX) and IEEE 802.3x flow control, ensuring compatibility with standard Ethernet networks and TCP/IP communications. Being a straightforward unmanaged switch, it requires no configuration, making it suitable for quick network segmentation, device bridging, and simple uplink applications where reliability and simplicity are prioritized.
