AutomationDirect TRD-GK500-RZD Incremental Rotary Encoder

Koyo TRD-GK500-RZD is a heavy-duty incremental rotary encoder designed for reliable speed and position feedback in harsh industrial environments. It features a 78 mm aluminum body and a solid 10 mm shaft, delivering 500 pulses per revolution (PPR) and a 2 m (6.5 ft) axial-exit cable with a 6 mm cable diameter and 24 AWG conductors. Operating from a nominal 10–30 VDC supply, it provides a totem-pole (push-pull) output and includes mounting hardware for installation. The IP65-rated enclosure guards the internals against dust and water jets, making it suitable for washdown or rugged factory floors. The encoder supports high-frequency response up to 100 kHz and a maximum speed of up to 5,000 rpm, enabling precise feedback in fast-moving machinery. The TRD-GK500-RZD is specified for radial shaft loads up to 100 N and axial shaft loads up to 50 N, with axial exit orientation for straightforward installation.
