AutomationDirect ZL-RRL16-24-1 Relay Output Module

AutomationDirect's ZIPLink ZL-RRL16-24-1 is a 16-channel relay output module that plugs into a ZIPLink backplane to provide 16 Form C (SPDT) relay outputs with a 24 VDC coil. Each channel delivers a 1‑form‑C contact rated up to 10 A at 250 VAC or 30 VDC, with 2,500 VAC coil‑to‑contact isolation and 1,000 VAC isolation between relays. The module’s coil is 24 VDC (±10%), with a maximum coil voltage of 31.2 VDC and a coil resistance of 1,440 Ω, yielding about 0.40 W per relay (roughly 16.7 mA per coil). Electrical life is rated at 1,000,000 operations for resistive loads, and mechanical life is 10,000,000 operations; contact resistance is 100 mΩ max at 1 A, 6 VDC. An LED indicator per channel shows relay status (red when energized). Terminals accept 12–24 AWG copper alloy wire (tin‑lead plated) with a screw torque of 4.4 in‑lbs (0.5 Nm). The module supports 20 cycles per minute electrical and 300 cycles per minute mechanical operation, with a maximum switching voltage of 250 VAC or 110 VDC and up to 2,500 VA inductive power. Ideal for PLC‑based automation, it can drive solenoids, lamps, and small loads while isolating control circuits from switched power in compact ZIPLink installations.
