Autonics BF4GP Fiber Optic Sensor 12-24VDC

The Autonics BF4GP fiber optic amplifier is a compact, digital-display interface designed to drive fiber optic sensing heads in automation lines, powered from 12–24 VDC with ±10% tolerance and ripple up to 10%. It uses a green 525 nm LED for illumination and supports both Light ON and Dark ON operation, selectable via the unit’s control, with a PNP open-collector output suitable for on-board PLC interfaces. Current draw is up to 45 mA, while the device provides fast response times of up to 0.5 ms (frequency 1) and up to 0.7 ms (frequency 2), enabling high-speed sensing on conveyor or production lines. As part of the BF4 family, BF4GP is designed to work with a range of fiber optic heads and cables (nine head styles and five cable types available) to accommodate barrier, retroreflective, and convergent reflective detection configurations. A green status LED on the body aids quick troubleshooting and monitoring during setup and ongoing operation.
