Autonics BUP-30-P Through Beam Photoelectric Sensor

Autonics BUP-30-P is a through-beam, U-shaped photoelectric sensor that detects opaque targets up to 30 mm away using a 940 nm infrared emitter. It operates from a 12–24 VDC supply with ±10% tolerance and provides a PNP open-collector output, with a selectable Light-On or Dark-On operation controlled by the control wiring. A 2 m connection cable delivers the electrical interface, and the unit draws up to 30 mA with a fast 1 ms response time. Built for industrial environments, the BUP-30-P is IP66 rated for dust and water resistance, tolerates ambient temperatures from -25 to 65°C (storage -25 to 70°C) and 35–85% RH, and uses an ABS case with a PC cap weighing about 85 g. The sensing target must be opaque and at least 4 mm in diameter, making it suitable for conveyors, end-of-line detection, slot or opening sensing, and other compact through-beam applications where a durable, high-speed sensor is required.
