Autonics BUP-30 Through-Beam Photoelectric Sensor

The Autonics BUP-30-P is a U-shaped, through-beam photoelectric sensor designed for compact beam-detection tasks in tight spaces. It offers a single sensing channel with a 30 mm sensing distance and can detect opaque targets as small as 4 mm in diameter. Operating from 12–24 V DC (±10%), it draws up to 30 mA and provides a PNP open-collector output with Light ON or Dark ON mode selectable via the control wire. A 2 m cable is included for wiring convenience, and the housing uses ABS for the case with a PC cap; it carries an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance. Ambient operating range is −25 °C to 65 °C and 35–85% RH, and the unit weighs about 85 g. The infrared emitter uses a 940 nm LED and delivers a fast response time up to 1 ms, making it well-suited for high-speed conveyors, packaging lines, and other automation equipment.
