AUTONICS BUP-30S-P Photoelectric Sensor

Autonics BUP-30S-P is a through-beam, U-shaped photoelectric sensor with a 30 mm sensing distance and adjustable sensitivity built into a compact slot-style housing. It operates on 12–24 VDC, draws up to 30 mA, and provides a PNP open-collector output for straightforward interfacing to PLCs and automation networks. This single-channel device supports Light ON and Dark ON operation via a control wire, and uses a 2 m lead-out cable for easy installation. The rugged ABS housing with a PC cap is IP66 rated, designed to withstand industrial environments, and the unit weighs roughly 90 g. In varying lighting conditions, it tolerates ambient illumination up to about 11,000 lx outdoors and up to 3,000 lx from incandescent sources, ensuring reliable sensing on conveyors, pick-and-place, and packaging lines. The BUP-30S-P tolerates temperatures from -25 to 65°C with 35–85% RH humidity (storage: -25 to 70°C), making it suitable for tight spaces where precise detection of small opaque targets is required. With built-in sensitivity adjustment and a compact form factor, this Autonics sensor delivers consistent performance in applications demanding reliable through-beam detection in a slot-style, forked configuration.
