The Autonics PRT12-4DO is a 12 mm cylindrical inductive proximity sensor designed for non-contact metal detection in automation lines. It delivers a normally open, two-wire output and operates on a DC supply in the 10–30 V range. The sensor uses an M12 connection and ships with a 2 m cable for easy integration in tight installations, and its IP67-rated housing provides protection against dust and water ingress in harsh environments. With a sensing distance of 0–4 mm, it is suitable for end-of-travel sensing, position verification on conveyors, and inline sensing on machine cells within industrial automation.
