AVG EZ Automation EZIOP-4THIE EZI IO Expansion Module

AVG EZ Automation EZIOP-4THIE is a screw-terminal 4-channel EZI/O thermocouple input module that snaps into AVG EZ PLC bases to expand temperature sensing capabilities. It accepts four thermocouples and supports J, K, S, and T types with 0.1°C resolution, enabling precise monitoring of process temperatures, industrial heating and cooling loops, and laboratory instrumentation. The module includes Cold Junction Compensation (CJC) with a choice of internal or LM19 external sensors; when the external CJC option is used, only three thermocouple inputs are available. Each input is configurable in EZ PLC software with per-input type, unit, and error reporting options, and the device is addressed via four input registers (IR1–IR4) for readings and four output registers (OR1–OR4) for configuration. It uses robust screw-down wiring for secure connections in demanding environments, and is designed for use with AVG EZ PLC bases and EZPLC Editor software for data acquisition and temperature reporting. Typical applications include multi-channel process temperature monitoring, energy management, and scientific or industrial instrumentation where four thermocouple channels must be read from a compact module.
