Avocent Emerge ECMS4000TU Digital Workstation Extender - Transmitter is an IP-based KVM extender component that enables real-time, dual-video access from a remote workstation to a local control station. The transmitter attaches to the host computer via dual DVI-D video outputs and transmits the video, USB, and audio signals over Ethernet to the corresponding user station, which houses dual DVI-I video inputs and USB ports for peripherals. The system supports dual digital DVI, USB extension, and audio, delivering up to a maximum digital video resolution of 1920x1200 at 60 Hz, with a 100 Mbps network interface and an approximately 6-watt power draw. As part of Avocent's Emerge digital extender family, the ECMS4000TU serves as the transmitter unit in a two-piece setup that pairs with a remote receiver/user station to extend a workstation across a LAN or WAN, enabling remote monitor, keyboard, and mouse control with minimized latency.
