Description:

CT-N108 is a coax ARCNET adapter for the ISA bus designed for QNX systems. Originating with Corman Technologies and later marketed by B&E Technologies, this low-profile ISA network card uses a BNC connector wired to RG-62 A/U 93-ohm coaxial cable to support ARCNET networks. In QNX configurations, the card is installed as part of a two-ARCNET card setup with memory segments at DC00 and CC00, and the driver supports ARCNET protocol version 2.6. The card operates on an 8.33 MHz ISA bus (bus speed should not exceed 8.33 MHz) and, per historical data, delivers throughput around 90 KB/s. Indicators include a green LED for normal operation and a red LED for node activity. Verified compatibility includes QNX 2 and QNX 4 with QNET Card QNX Part Number 003049. The CT-N108 is described as a coax ARCNET adapter and is documented as discontinued by the manufacturer. This card represents the legacy ARCNET ISA solutions from Corman Technologies, now associated with B&E Technologies, and is of interest for retro hardware restoration or maintenance of vintage QNX-based installations.
