The 7IF311.7 Rev. C0 is a B&R Interface Module for the 2003 screw‑in module system, providing one RS232 interface to connect external devices to the PLC network. It uses a 9‑pin D‑sub male connector for RS232, supports RTS/CTS handshaking, and baud rates up to 115.2 kBaud. Power consumption runs around 0.5 W, increasing to as much as 1.6 W when used with PW Panel power options such as P120/P121. The module is designed to fit in slots 1, 2, or 3 of the B&R CP backplane used by the 2003 architecture. As part of the IF311 family, 7IF311.7 enables serial communication between the B&R PLC and external devices, including PanelWare operator panels.
