X20BC0143-10 is a CANopen bus controller for B&R’s X20 automation system, functioning as a CANopen slave that can link up to 253 X2X Link I/O modules on a single CANopen network. It provides a single CANopen interface via a 9-pin DSUB connector and draws about 2 W of power, making it suitable for compact, distributed I/O topologies. The device supports long CANopen runs with a maximum distance of up to 1000 meters, depending on cabling and topology. Operating conditions span 0 to 55°C with humidity up to 100%, and it carries regulatory approvals including CE and UL/cULus E115267, plus ATEX Zone 2 / II 3G Ex nA nC IIA T5 Gc IP20. Onboard status indicators show module status, bus function, and data transfer to aid diagnostics, and parameter storage in flash memory enables configuration of communication parameters, vendor- and application-specific data, including a fixed transfer rate.
