B&R Industrial Automation X20DO8322 Digital Output Module

X20DO8322 is an eight-channel digital output module for B&R’s X20 I/O system that provides eight 24 VDC source outputs, each up to 0.5 A (4 A total). The module uses 1-wire connections and includes integrated protection for switching inductances, a thermal shutdown on overcurrent or short circuit, and an internal freewheeling diode for inductive loads; leakage when off is about 5 µA and the on-resistance is 210 mΩ. It accepts a 24 VDC supply with a tolerance of -15% to +20%, offers switching delays under 300 µs for both 0→1 and 1→0 transitions, and provides output monitoring with a 10 ms delay. The X20DO8322 draws bus power around 0.26 W and dissipates about 0.8 W of internal I/O power; it supports a peak short-circuit current below 12 A. This module is designed for driving electromechanical actuators such as relays and solenoids in industrial automation applications and is certified for CE, UKCA, UL/cULus, and various hazardous-location approvals (including ATEX Zone 2, II 3G Ex nA nC IIA T5 Gc IP20). It is intended for use within the B&R X20 ecosystem, complementing other X20 digital I/O modules and enabling reliable, fast switching in compact automation cabinets.
