Baldor Electric Company, now ABB Motors and Mechanical's Baldor‑Reliance line, VL3504 is a 1/2 HP single‑phase AC induction motor in a 56C frame with a Totally Enclosed Fan‑Cooled (TEFC) enclosure for general‑purpose service in light industrial equipment. The 60 Hz version runs at 1725 RPM and is designed for 115/230 VAC operation, making it a common replacement for small pumps, fans, blowers, conveyors, and other machinery where a compact, reliable drive is required. For 50 Hz applications, the VL3504 family includes VL3504-50 rated at 0.5 HP (0.37 kW) with 1425 RPM, also on a 56C frame and listed with a TEFAC enclosure. Both variants share the same frame footprint to facilitate replacement in existing Baldor installations and OEM equipment that specify a Baldor‑Reliance single‑phase motor.
