Balluff BCS017L Inductive Proximity Sensor IP67

Balluff BCS017L is a 12 mm-diameter tubular capacitive proximity sensor (M12 form factor) designed for non-contact detection of non-metallic targets, including through barriers and containers. The unit measures Ø12 x 60 mm and can be flush-mounted via an M12x1 thread, with a 4-pin M12 connector for easy wiring. It operates from 12 to 30 V DC and provides a configurable push-pull output (NC with PNP or NO with NPN options) suitable for sourcing or sinking logic. Housed in corrosion-resistant 1.4404 stainless steel, it features a PEEK sensing surface and is rated IP67 for robust dust and water protection in harsh environments, with an ambient temperature range of –10 to 80 °C. The sensing distance spans 0.5 to 5 mm, enabling reliable detection of plastics, glass, liquids, or powders through non-conductive media, making it a versatile choice for automated packaging, material handling, and process monitoring where metal sensors are ineffective.
