Balluff BES 516-383-E4-C-05 Proximity Switch Sensor

BES011F – Balluff BES 516-383-E4-C-05 is a compact inductive proximity switch from Balluff’s BES family. It uses an 8 mm diameter stainless-steel housing with an M8x1 mounting thread and a 30 mm body length, making it suitable for tight spaces on automation equipment. The sensing face is PBT, and the device detects metal targets within a 2.5 mm nominal range. It operates from a 10–30 V DC supply and provides a PNP normally open (NO) output. A 3-core cable, 5.0 m long, exits the sensor for straightforward integration into control circuits, with PVC insulation. The unit is rated IP68 for dust and water ingress protection in industrial environments. Common applications include end-of-travel and position sensing on conveyors, automation machinery, and other metal-detection tasks where non-contact sensing of metal targets is required.
