Balluff BES M30MI1-PSC22B-S04G is a 30 mm cylindrical inductive proximity sensor (M30) from Balluff’s SuperG family, designed for quasi-flush mounting in steel with a nominal sensing distance of 22 mm. It features a normally-open, PNP output (3-wire DC) and operates on 10–30 VDC, delivering up to 200 mA load current with a real switching distance around 22 mm and an assured range up to about 17.8 mm. The device uses a M30x1.5 thread, measures 73.5 mm in length, with a chrome-plated CuZn housing and a PBT sensing face, and it carries IP67 protection with an M12 S4-style connector for wiring. Electrical characteristics include a 24 VDC rated operating voltage, ripple up to 20%, a maximum switching frequency of 200 Hz, a no-load current of ~10 mA, and a polarity-reversal and short-circuit protection, along with a 2 V voltage drop and an off-state current under 100 µA. The sensor is intended for DC 13 utilization and is suitable for environments requiring sturdy metal detection in automation, such as conveyors, automated doors, and metal-processing lines where quasi-flush installation is advantageous. Ambient temperature range is -25°C to +70°C, and it withstands mechanical shocks (30 g, 11 ms) and vibration (55 Hz, 1 mm amplitude, 3×/30 min).
