Balluff BES017M Inductive Sensor

Balluff BES017M (BES 516-161-H3-L) is a flush-mounted inductive single-position switch housed in a rugged aluminum block that detects metal targets at up to 7 mm away. It provides PNP NO/NC outputs and operates on a DC supply of 10–30 V, with a maximum effective operating current of 400 mA and a static voltage drop around 1.5 V. The sensor features an active Ø20 mm sensing surface, a depth of 60.5 mm, and a screw-terminal connection with M16x1.5 gland, while the sensing face is PA12 and the housing is GD-AlSi12; it carries an IP67 rating and operates from -25 to 70 °C. With a footprint of 74 × 28 × 60.5 mm and an assured distance Sa of 5.60 mm (Sn 7.0 mm), it suits compact position sensing in automated equipment and can be used in flush installations where a shielded inductive sensor is required.
