Balluff BES516-324-G-S49-C is an M8x1 threaded inductive proximity sensor with a stainless-steel housing designed for flush-mount installation and IP68 protection. It operates on 10–30 V DC and draws up to 200 mA, with a PNP normally-open output and a nominal sensing distance of 2 mm (Sa 1.6 mm). The cylindrical sensor measures Ø8 x 55 mm with a mounting length of 43 mm, and its sensing surface is made of PBT, making it suitable for metal-detection tasks in automation and manufacturing environments at switching frequencies up to about 1,500 Hz.
