Balluff BGL000R-20A-001-S49 Photoelectric Fork Sensor
Balluff BGL000R-20A-001-S49 Photoelectric Fork Sensor
Description:
Balluff BGL000R-20A-001-S49 is a compact, metal-bodied fork-style photoelectric sensor designed for through-beam gap sensing between the fork tines. The 20 mm fork opening is housed in a zinc die-cast 10 x 40 x 58 mm body, with a glass sensing surface. It uses a red LED light at 636 nm with a Ø1.0 mm beam exit and a divergent optical path, enabling stable detection across a small sensing gap. The device provides a PNP output that can be configured NO or NC, via a 3-pin M8 connector. It operates on 10–30 V DC, with a maximum load current of 200 mA, and is IP67-rated for rugged environments. The unit’s mounting is via a single M4 screw; ambient temperature range is -10 to 60 °C. Optical switching delivers fast response times, with turn-on and turn-off delays up to 0.333 ms and a maximum switching frequency of 1500 Hz; ready delay is up to 200 ms. Factory default output setting is normally open. This Balluff sensor (order code BGL000R, BGL 20A-001-S49) is well-suited to presence detection on conveyors, assembly lines, and packaging processes where a narrow fork gap and reliable metal-housed sensing are required.
