Description:
Balluff BGL50A001S49 is a 50 mm through‑beam slot photoelectric sensor (fork style) in a zinc‑die‑cast housing with a glass sensing face, designed for reliable detection of small parts in industrial lines and conveyors, and rated IP67 for harsh environments. It operates from a DC supply of 10–30 V (nominal 24 V sensing voltage) and provides a PNP normally open output with a maximum load current of 200 mA while drawing about 35 mA in standby; the device features a red LED emission at 636 nm, a small light spot of about 1.5 mm, and a divergent beam suitable for detecting a 50 x 50 mm reference target, such as steel. Its compact dimensions are 10 × 70 × 88 mm with a 50 mm fork opening, enabling easy integration into narrow sensor slots. Electrical performance includes a maximum voltage drop of 3 V at rated current, a residual current under 50 µA, and ton/toff delays up to 0.333 ms for fast switching, alongside a broad ambient temperature range of -10 to 60 °C. The BGL50A001S49 is housed for rugged use in demanding production environments, with factory default configuration set for NO output and a robust slate of mechanical protections, including an IP67 seal and a glass sensing surface for dependable operation in dusty or humid settings.
