Balluff BIC0070 Inductive Coupler

Balluff BIC0070 is the base half of Balluff’s IO-Link inductive coupler pair, enabling contactless energy transfer and IO-Link data transmission across a small air gap in industrial automation. The unit operates from 24 V DC (±10%) and uses a 4-pin M12 interface for easy integration; IO-Link 1.1 compatibility supports 32-byte IO-Link data memory for configuration and data exchange. Encased in a PBTP housing with a PBT sensing surface, the base offers IP67 protection and a transmission distance of 0 to 2.5 mm to its companion remote coupler, forming a complete non-contact energy and signal link for IO-Link networks. The BIC0070 is designed for applications such as gripper changes, remote IO-Link signaling, and other automation tasks where mechanical contact is undesirable, pairing with corresponding remote modules to create a robust inductive interface in manufacturing environments.
