Balluff BIS012Z High Frequency Read Write Head

Balluff BIS012Z is a high-frequency (13.56 MHz) read/write head housed in the BIS VM-351-401-S4 enclosure, designed to read and write data on HF RFID transponders. It supports ISO 15693 data carriers, including High Memory variants, enabling richer tag data on compatible devices. The compact housing measures 80 x 40 x 84.5 mm and uses a 4-pin M12 male connector with a 0.30 m cable for straightforward integration. As part of Balluff’s BIS V system, the BIS012Z can be connected to a BIS V Processor Unit to monitor head status and manage communications across connected heads. This read/write head is intended for fixed or mounted use in industrial environments where 13.56 MHz ISO 15693 tags are employed, enabling non-contact data exchange in applications such as asset tracking, inventory control, and process automation where reliable HF RFID data exchange is required.
