Balluff BLE-18M-P0-1P-E5-C-S4 Photoelectric Sensor

Balluff BLE-18M-P0-1P-E5-C-S4 is a through-beam photoelectric receiver from Balluff’s 18M family that pairs with a separate emitter (BLS 18M-XX-1P-E4/E5) to detect objects across long distances using infrared light. It provides a PN P (PNP) normally-open output and operates on a DC supply of 10–30 V (Ue, with 24 V nominal) drawing up to 200 mA. The rugged M18 housing is 18 mm in diameter and 70 mm long, copper-zinc nickel-plated, with a glass sensing face and IP67 protection, suitable for harsh environments (-5 to +55 °C). Its effective sensing distance Sr is 16,000 mm (16 m) with a Ro of 0–16 m, and it supports a switching frequency up to 100 Hz with a Schaltfunktion Öffner (open contact). The device uses an M12 4-pin S4 connector, offers an isolation voltage of 250 V DC, and includes reverse polarity protection, making it a robust choice for industrial applications such as long-range beam interruption sensing on conveyors or packaging lines.
